I have been restless for the past few days looking for answers… What was going through the mind of Patrick Sawyer… why did he put a lot of people at risk knowing he had the Ebola disease, why cause panic in our dear country Nigeria…
He knew how contagious this disease was but despite all the warnings from his doctor in Liberia he still insisted on travelling for this Ecowas meeting….. How important was this meeting that he had to risk people’s lives… I have been pondering , analysing how could an educated man who has been exposed to western culture act this way… what was the rush to come to Nigeria… A scheduled ECOWAS meeting people will say…
Was he negligent, foolish, selfish, crazy as Jonathan said, malicious or was he doing his best to live.
Hmm I heard from the grapevine he was on his way to visit TB Joshua who is a renowned spiritual healer in Nigeria …. Was he really going to visit TB Joshua, since western science offered no cure to this ailment, his only hope was to run to Nigeria… in the pretext of going for an Ecowas meeting, meanwhile his main intention was to visit TB Joshua for a miracle cure… A big question.
We were also told from the CCTV in the airport that he went out of his way to make sure there was no body contact, only when he was at a critical stage where he could not help himself that’s when the contact happened…. With this new light are we to judge him as crazy, selfish, negligent or a man who just felt so hopeless and had a will to live no matter the cost…
There is so much information coming from the media, social network. It is feeding our fears causing so much panic within the country, but one good thing coming out of this is that our government is now taking reactive measures…..
I honestly love to believe that his main intention for coming to Nigeria is to get spiritual healing then I can find it in my heart to understand and see where he was coming from…
What was on his mind, did he have the strong will to live a feeling of helplessness that he had no choice but to visit a miracle healer to get his cure, western science has failed him…Are we to judge him,did he have the will to live? That’s the question I ask.

If that’s the case I reckon he was a very reckless man with his status he could have contacted T. B. Joshua and have him come to heal him without risking the lives of other humans I don’t think that was his aim. His aim was to spread it and take a lot of people with him and the best spot was the most populated country in Africa where it would spread faster and affect more people.

Well, whatever his reasons. He didn’t think it through. Obviously he had visited Nigeria before the last time and knows we haven’t quite got our acts together and the possibility of the disease spreading is high. May his soul rest in peace.

From all we have heard from the media and all,I don’t know if this particular story is true, that he deliberately urinated on the nurses for not allowing him to leave the hospital please I want to confirm this story, if this is true, that the most annoying and selfish behaviour coming from any human to another when he knows the consequence.

Coming to seek spiritual help from TB Joshua in Nigeria when he knew that ebola virus is highly contagious and has no cure for now, was an act of wickedness.moreso, doctors in Liberia advised him not to travel from Liberia where he was quarantined. He foolishly disobeyed that advice and flee to Nigeria. God was certainly angry with notorious Patrick Sawyer and that was why He prevented him from seeing the Prophet. In summary, Patrick Sawyer who I described to be devilish had no other intention other than to spread the virus in Nigeria.

Hmmmm, with what I read I feel it’s a will to live and a struggle to getting a life and he didn’t want EVD to truncate his future and destiny…. But I must confess he made a selfish and crazy decision to truncate the peace of a country while trying to get himself a better life which isn’t too good and now the epidermy has broken here too. too bad

I can’t speak for many people but I’d like to think he was on his way to seek help. For whatever reason he did what he did, we might not know or ever know. The entire story or what state his mind are things that are a mystery. Ine thing is clear: to me he need help.

I’d like to think his intention was to seek help. Most times when people are desperate they lose their sense decency and it becomes more of a selfish act.In his case the desperate desire to live surpasses his sense of morality. To the point of exposing other people to danger.May God help us all.

I am not quiet sure what his motives were for coming to Nigeria, however, there is still one question baffling my mind till today, that is how on earth could he have been allowed to leave the hospital knowing fully the implications of this deadly virus if indeed they knew he had this.
Regardless of the conspiracy theory hovering around. I believe our major concern should now be how do we prevent it from spreading? How can we help fund research into Ebola virus. It won’t be a bad idea if we adopt the ALS ice bucket challenge to raise a few coins to fund research into Ebola. It should not be left to government alone to tackle. Perhaps a nice name could be coined in the form “Ebola challenge or something of a sort to raise awareness and fund to research into this and provide cure for our people. We need not wait for the West to come to our aid. Lately I see a lot of people runinng to the states or the UK for refuge in the name of ebola virus.
